Hello!
If you’re a reader of this newsletter… thank you, sincerely.
If you’re a reader of this newsletter and you have even a passing interest in manga, you might be interested in the podcast I just launched with my friends Mark and Alex.
Each week, we’ll read the first volume of a different manga, and then talk about it! All three of us have lived in Japan for a long time, but we all come from different places.
We read the manga in Japanese, but talk about it in English. Maybe that’s weird, but I hope it helps set us apart.
In the first episode, we talk about Kimetsu no Yaiba, which is by far the most popular manga we’ve discussed so far (we’ve got five more episodes recorded already), and the most popular one we’re likely to discuss, maybe ever? (Kimetsu no Yaiba is extremely popular.)
Honestly, the sound quality in this episode is a little rough, but each subsequent episode sounds better than the last.
So I hope you’ll give it a listen! You can check out this link, or find it wherever you listen to podcasts. And if you can give us a review, I will be forever grateful. Tell your friends, tell your family.
Oh, and you can email us at mangaroospodcast@gmail.com if you want to say hi.
